C-TRAN Board of Directors Meeting · Jun 09, 2026 · 4:33–4:46 · Watch on CVTV ↗

A representative from the Lower Columbia Nature Network advocated for a new seasonal transit shuttle to improve public access to regional green spaces and state parks. She highlighted that transportation is a major barrier preventing many residents, including elders and dementia patients, from visiting natural areas like Lewisville Park, Beacon Rock, and Battleground Lake. Implementing a shuttle service would allow more of the community to safely experience the physical and mental health benefits of the outdoors.

Last October at the C-TRAN board meeting right here, IVR executives were asked about forecasted versus actual ridership results for TriMet's light rail system. The program administrator replied in a letter dated

5:28 December 10th last year, but he only discussed the TriMet Max Green Line and Orange Line, and he just gave information about the opening year ridership saying nothing about ridership since then. It has been very poor. For the last several years, these two lines are at about 1/3 of their forecasts. Now, the Max Green Line ridership forecast for 2009
