The discussion of "monitoring" in this meeting did not involve Flock surveillance cameras or police monitoring. Instead, a city transportation engineer stated they would be monitoring vehicle traffic speeds in the neighborhood to determine if traffic calming measures, such as speed bumps, are needed. Additionally, a project representative noted that city inspectors will monitor the construction site to ensure compliance with erosion and dust control plans.

2:48:20 we don't see that we're going to have an unsafe situation. They are also going to be adding some crossings of 34th Street. The one element that we are a little concerned about that really has nothing to do with this subdivision, but has come to light with our traffic counts, the 85th percentile or the overall percentile of speeding in the 34th Street corridor overall is fairly low. In fact, it doesn't meet our criteria for traffic calming. However, there are some small number of very high speed vehicles at certain times of the day. We've captured a few of those. So they don't add up enough to meet our criteria for traffic calming, but they certainly at this point require us to take a closer look at this and perhaps determine that we need to do some traffic calming even though it doesn't meet the official warrants.

So it sounds like, so when you say that you're keeping or you're taking a look at this or you're keeping an eye on that, how does that work? Just, I'm curious, first of all, and some of the members of the public may wish to hear. - The speeding. Well, we have a baseline that we've established now. We took some counts. As soon as we had the pre-application meeting for this project, we went out and took some counts. So we have a baseline. That baseline identified again, that the warrants are not being met to put any kind of traffic calming in, but it did capture some very small number of very high speed trips.

2:50:18 So what we would do is, one, we're going to have some negotiations with the developer about potentially adding some traffic calming voluntarily on that corridor. And then beyond that, once the development is established,
