Meanwhile, at home our infrastructure is crumbling we can't even build a bridge on a major interstate crossing the Columbia River remains stuck in limbo for how many years, and funding shouldn't even be a question. Our interstate should be absolutely funded by the federal government, the local people of Portland, Vancouver and the surrounding areas should absolutely not incur an additional tax or should not incur a toll. We have the ability as a country to fund the roads, the bridges, clean water, clean air, our Congress simply chooses not to do that.
