Clark County Public Works will be partner with the county to assist with updating and improving two critical safety planning documents. RFP983 invited the consultant community

This is a requirement per the Clark County comp plan and the growth management act. It's also the key document required for state grant dollar grants. Specifically within this planning work we will be addressing these key challenges that are in front of us. One increasing park demands, evolving recreational trends, climate impacts, land acquisition needs and disparities in access throughout

It's also really focused on ensuring that everybody has a voice in this process so that outreach is a really crucial part of this planning. Public engagement strategies are really focused on engaging with community groups throughout the county and ensuring that everybody has a seat at the table. Payments will be made in equal installments over five years and they will be made out of the CARA account which I mentioned which lives within the elections fund. The CARA account is projected to generate $246,000 annually starting in 2027 and is sufficient to cover the scheduled payments. We did include that early payoff would be allowed if revenues exceed projections and the council or the county manager does approve. That would allow us to avoid those interest costs. And in terms of financial capacity and compliance the REIT one fund has a really healthy fund balance that is unallocated in the amount of about $5.6 million as of June 30 and this is within our fund balance policy limits

If approved a 2026 supplemental budget request will record the equipment purchased in the elections fund. That will come from the Auditor's Office.
